David has been working in the Audio / Visual industry since 1996. The first half of his career was in live event production during which time he stage managed many professional and semi-professional productions; designed audio, video and lighting for various cooperate, theatrical, dance, and musical events. David served as Audio Visual Manager for the City of San Jose and was responsible installation and system design for temporary event installations, permanent system installations, maintenance and operation at a variety of venues including: San Jose City Hall, and various theaters, libraries and community centers. He was also responsible for specifying, installing and maintaining various IP based and point to point transport systems for broadcast, webcast and event usage.
After leaving the City, David transitioned to audio visual integration with Integrated Communications Systems (ICS). He was responsible for performing system engineering reviews, DSP programming, network configuration, system commissioning, control system programming and end-user training for various meeting rooms, auditoriums, theaters and convention centers. Projects were completed for a variety of large and small corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies including: Hewitt Packard Corporation, Sharks Sports and Entertainment, University of San Francisco, and the Federal Reserve Bank. Key projects include: Sharks Ice at San Jose audio upgrades, PG&E Auditorium, HP Executive Briefing Center and the San Jose Convention Center Expansion.
David recently joined the AVDG team and performs sales, project and field engineering. He specializes in audio systems, video systems and IP networks.
