Our Mission: Bringing Environments to Life
AVDG is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Jay Jones, CTS, to the position of National Procurement Manager.
Jones enters his new role at AVDG with significant experience spanning more than 26 years in systems integration and technology design, where he has led teams of all sizes in the audiovisual industry. His appointment underscores AVDG’s ongoing expansion in the commercial and residential market sectors throughout North America.
In his new position as National Procurement Manager, Jones will provide leadership at all levels of the organization, overseeing AVDG’s procurement needs across the nation, including hiring, training, and mentoring purchasing department team members. Jones will help implement plans to maximize revenue and drive profitability for AVDG, including developing and implementing a Preferred Vendor Partner Program. The announcement comes on the heels of AVDG’s appointment of Mohit Parasher as President of Business Solutions. Jones will report directly to Doug Carnell, VP of Business Solutions at Guitar Center, AVDG’s parent company.
“We are excited to have industry veteran Jay Jones join our growing enterprise,” said Doug Carnell. “Jay Jones will continue the very strong relationships we have with our vendors, while leading our procurement teams to deliver unbelievable services to our internal teams.”
Prior to joining AVDG, Jones was Director of Global Procurement at Electrosonic, where he established procurement standards, overseeing the management of an international purchasing team based in London and Los Angeles. He was the founder of AVMAN, an audiovisual integrator, from 2001 to 2019, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer until its acquisition.
“With the investments AVDG has made in both our infrastructure and our people, I am delighted to join this illustrious company and its talented team,” said Jones. “I look forward to working with the company’s various teams to expand the company’s procurement strategies.”
In addition to leading AVDG’s purchasing team members, Jones will also guide teams on implementing procurement strategies throughout the organization, including project managers, sales professionals, designers, installers, and support personnel.
