Position Summary: Commercial Project Manager – AVDG

AVDG is looking for an exceptional AV Commercial Project Manager whose responsibility will be to inspire, plan, guide, and coordinate activities of integrated audio-visual smart technology solutions and systems to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished on time and within budget. You will manage the communication between the design team, installation labor, and other construction trade on the project.

The successful candidate has commercial AV project management experience with strong communication, customer experience, and smart technologies. You have a passion for learning and expanding while working with the best technologies and solutions to advance your career.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Responsible for managing Audio Visual commercial integration and installation projects and operations.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine the period, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases.
  • Reviews pre-installation site surveys and helps strategize equipment placement and cable-pull considerations.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, communicating with management and engineering about staffing and installation equipment requirements.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Effectively interact with various private sub-contractors and unionized construction trades.
  • Tracks manage and communicate project schedule to ensure project progresses on schedule and budget, installation labor, and resources.


To join our team, you’ll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.), Associate Degree (A. A.), equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or a minimum of two years of experience in the equivalent combination of education and experience desirable. Having a PMP certification is highly desired.
  • Minimum 2+ years project management experience highly desired, or similar position supervising installers, including training new and temporary labor, assigning work, mentoring, performance management, working with subcontractors, and resolving problems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AV systems, engineering, and installing electronic security systems or related fields desired. Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC’s and operations is a big plus.
  • Must have a solid understanding of job financial reports and stay within budget while managing large projects.
  • Strong computer skills Office 365 MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Solutions 360, learning new systems, generating reports, and familiarity with AV industry control systems used in commercial projects like Crestron, Extron, QSYS, Biamp highly preferred.
  • Must have experience planning and assigning daily installation schedules and duties for assigned projects.
  • Must have low voltage experience, troubleshooting, and instructing proper physical placement and wiring of devices.
  • Experience building effective teams and creating strong morale in the field required.
  • Associate is to be fully vaccinated, per the CDC Definition.
