AVDG is growing our team! We seek a highly creative and self-motivated Window Treatment Designer for an exciting opportunity to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of window treatments, equipment, systems, and the design-build process. You will be hands-on, getting involved in all aspects, including the measurement and installation process. You will work closely with interior designers, architects, and our team to deliver high-quality design solutions for the integration environment.

  • Identify project expectations and requirements, prepare detailed design examples, and plan with clear intent according to the client’s specifications.
  • Conduct client site visits to assess better and understand client needs collaborating with others on the team.
  • Will work within client budgets to achieve the best value in design.
  • Produce designs in AutoCAD, AGI, and other design software.
  • Document revisions and plan changes within company protocol and safety standards.
  • Collaboration with interior designers, architects, and our team members throughout the process to seamlessly deliver high-quality design solutions to the clients.
  • Attendance of regular lighting education lectures to stay polished within your craft.


To join our team, you’ll need the following experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or at least two years of experience in an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years with window treatment design experience in the high-end custom residential or commercial environment.
  • Working knowledge of window treatment equipment and systems and the design-build process highly desired, as well as the role window treatment, plays in both high-end custom residential and commercial projects.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the technique, measurement and installation, and technology used in Window Treatments.
  • Must be skilled in AutoCAD, AGI, and any necessary design software.
  • Familiarity with the construction process, electricity, codes, and environmental issues required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer service oriented, professionalism, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility are essential to succeed in this role here.
  • Associate is to be fully vaccinated, per the CDC Definition.
