Position Summary: National Director of Sales and Partnerships
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
The National Director of Sales and Partnerships is responsible for leading the company’s Sales teams, strategies, and techniques for the organization nationwide. AVDG’s Director of Sales will establish quota objectives for the teams, reinvent and maintain consistency in processes, and prioritize strategic direction. Monthly, Quarterly, and annual forecast will set, managed, and achieved under your leadership and guidance. The Director of Sales is a motivated, well-organized and has a deep understanding of prospecting while developing strong relationships with customers. They will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Provide leadership and direction for planning, organizing, and developing the sales goals by region and vertical, including establishing, executing, and reporting the results as they relate to the budgets.
- Develop monitoring programs for Account Managers (AM’s) to ensure that all AVDG sales goals are met within the timeline.
- Implement proactive measures to standardize project solutions for the success of the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the department heads to drive the continuous improvement of the company’s existing technologies and support the development of new technological and/or product innovations.
- Train and mentor employees (responsibility, specialization, exposure, business environment, etc.) while addressing company needs.
- Develop and implement sales procedures that are best in class.
- Drive products and services to the team that increase customer satisfaction and increased margin.
- Responsible for training, managing, and advising the sales team.
- Responsible for Development of a pipeline, winning projects, Delivering Revenue to plan
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, assessing candidates, providing training and onboarding to new hires.
- Generate and submit weekly sales reports to the VP Business Solutions
- Lead the Marketing team with the expectation of product and portfolio synergies
- Manage by example, having visibility and accessibility in the office with excellent interpersonal and communication skills connecting with staff and managing change — culture is an essential part of this team.
- Attendance and representation of the company at trade shows and conferences. (Virtually if necessary)
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by management
requirements
To join our team, you’ll need the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years’ sales experience with 5 years’ successfully managing a team of B2B sales professionals.
- Must have experience in Audio-Video Integration, Tech, or related industry.
- AV Certifications CTS-D, CTS, DMC-E, CTI, CSS, CLS…, and related certifications highly desired.
- Skilled at making decisions and can influence people on their recommendations.
- Ability to adapt to different situations, cultures, and people.
- Integrity, good judgment, and the ability to protect commercially sensitive
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Strong customer focus in every aspect of the job, including ability to work directly with key customers.
- Ability to set strategy and follow through on implementation and execution of initiatives.
- Superb leadership ability: experienced successfully developing others, management effectiveness, strategic focus, excellent with delegation, performance management expertise, and fosters 2-way communication with active listening skills.
- Entrepreneurial approach to challenges: being resourceful, and not afraid to take calculated risks.
