Robert Scharffer has more than 32 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry. As founder and director of AVDG, Robert supervises the facilities and system design of audiovisual system integration projects. Prior to founding AVDG, Robert was president and partner of Anderson Audio Visual – East Bay, LLC and Anderson Audio Visual – Sacramento, LP and was a senior project designer at MCSI (formerly Intellisys Group, EISI and EIS). Robert was also formerly a senior consultant at Lewitz and Associates Inc. and a consultant for Paoletti Associates (formerly Paoletti/Lewitz/Associates) in their San Francisco office. As a senior consultant, he was responsible for system design drawings, written performance specifications, installation supervision and final inspection and adjustment for audio, video, projection and control systems.
Before joining Paoletti/Lewitz/Associates in 1987, Mr. Scharffer was a staff technician for the Hubert Wilke Organization in their Los Angeles and New York offices.
David Welles is the director of sales at AVDG and former founder of TVTI, a leading provider of lighting control systems that was acquired by AVDG in 2019. As an entrepreneur, team leader and industry authority, David has helped supply the vision and high standards that our teams embody in their work every day. He is focused on client satisfaction and innovation. He is known for always making himself accessible to clients, as well as the AVDG team.
David loves ever-changing technology and has a passion for creating solutions for clients who are looking for answers. In his free time, he is an avid golfer and gamer, and he loves spending time with his wife, Lauren, and two daughters, Mayson and Kendall.
Dennis Jaques is the Director of Residential Operations at AVDG. Dennis was the former founder of Maverick Integration, an award-winning design and system integration firm that was acquired by AVDG in February of 2020. As Director of Residential Operations, Dennis Jaques is continuing to lead and develop our integration team, drive further growth of AVDG nationally, and lend his expertise to our clients.
Dennis has more than 30 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry. He started by studying electrical engineering at the University of Massachusetts and then began his career in AV Retail Sales and Management. In 2003 he founded Maverick Integration, Inc. where he went on to produce over $14M annual revenue, employ a staff of more than 50 employees with offices in Nashua, NH, and Waltham, MA. His work has generated over two dozen industry awards for commercial and residential clients from Maine to Florida to the Caribbean and Iceland. Dennis’s authentic commitment to bespoke design solutions sets him apart and delivers a product, indeed an experience, of the finest quality in both form and function.
Brian Krisko is the General Manager for AVDG West. Brian has more than 20 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry. Brian has held leadership positions in sales, operations, and service. His experience has given him a profound understanding of technology best served for business. Brian Krisko embodies what we plan for our talent having worked his way up from an installer, and every role in between leading to becoming a Vice President and now a GM for AVDG. Prior to becoming a GM for AVDG Brian has held positions for Best Buy in the commercial B2B division. He has extensive experience leading and positioning organizations for growth.
Brian has shared and executed his vision for growth while balancing the responsibility of managing budgets and P&Ls. Brian is accustomed to successfully juggling multiple projects and has an excellent track of building new business, forging strong relationships with clients, developing partnerships, and increasing company revenue through innovative and creative strategies. He believes that the major contributor to successfully leading growth is his talent as a persuasive communicator.
Kristy Brabec is the Head of Service for AVDG. Kristy has been in the audiovisual industry for over 12 years. Kristy is passionate about reinventing how to successfully support clients, instituting solutions that work effectively, behind the scenes without ever disrupting the client. As needed, her team is able to support most of the service needs within a few minutes, remotely or provide prompt support in-person, just as you’d expect it. Her relentless commitment has led her to maintain professional and close relationships with clients for over a decade. Prior to joining AVDG Kristy has led teams that have serviced the elite clientele throughout the Bay Area.
Shannon is the Regional Sales Manager for AVDG. Shannon has over a decade of experience in the audiovisual industry. She is quickly being recognized as a leading authority with over 15 professional certifications and licenses. Her expertise and craftsmanship have led her to be highlighted in multiple industry publications. Shannon brings high energy and strong competitive spirit when developing teams and is focused on driving high-closure sales rates and additional notable accounts to the AVDG portfolio. Prior to AVDG, Shannon was the VP of Service Tech, Inc. in Austin, Texas, where she grew the company by 30%, developed new software, managed large integration projects, and led a team of 60 professionals.
Before embarking on her journey into the AV industry, Shannon worked in the private defense industry, running multi-million-dollar projects worldwide. Her passion for technology and her clients are what drives her to constantly learn and grow both professionally and personally. In her free time, she volunteers for the CEDIA Organization and serves on the Membership Council. All around, she is known for building highly successful teams that have strong cohesion, culture, and fanatically think outside the box.
Tim Hill is the General Manager for AVDG East. Tim has 25 years of experience in visual communications. Most recently, he was Vice President of Engineering at AVI-SPL, where he established engineering standards, overseeing the management of an international team of more than 350 engineers. Prior to joining AVI-SPL Tim founded OmniPresence, an audiovisual and video conferencing integrator, from 2002 to 2011, where he served as the Chief Technology Officer until its acquisition by Carousel Industries.
Tim offers a wealth of experience to AVDG, spanning more than two decades in systems integration and technology design. As General Manager, Tim is leading AVDG’s expansion throughout the East, driving operations at the company’s offices in Nashua, New Hampshire; Boston, Massachusetts; and Naples, Florida. Hill is a proven leader with an extensive track record in business growth and operational management.
