San francisco based coinbase is a bitcoin wallet and platform where merchants and consumers can transact with the new digital currency bitcoin. Audio visual design group was contracted to do the design build of the audio-visual systems inside coinbase’s new offices in the SOMA. The project included design and installation of an “all hands“ meeting space, boardroom, conference rooms, and sound masking system in the open office area, digital signage and game room.

The coinbase team holds regular meetings where participants will often need to remotely connect in so it was important that they be able to do so easily from any device. Equally important was the audio and video quality of the conference. AVDG provided HD cameras for high resolution video and microphone and speaker combination that provided high intelligibility so participants can easily hear and see one another.

Another neat aspect to this project was the system in Reception that greets visitors and employees arriving at coinbase offices with music and video messaging.

Finally, this space has an awesome game room complete with a large projection screen and multiple gaming systems.
