Audio Visual Design Group was contracted to design and install a digital signage system for the Rhine House at the historic Beringer Winery. Founded in 1876, Beringer is the oldest continually operating winery in the Napa Valley. The entire property is listed under both the National Register of Historic Places and California Historic Landmarks.

Due to the historic nature of the Rhine House, AVDG really had to approach this project differently than the typical commercial project. This project was more akin to the steps and precautions we would take for an actual residence. In addition to these steps, it was imperative that the technology not detract from the natural beauty of the space and its architecture.
The audio visual system consisted of LED displays in 7 spaces throughout the Rhine House including private tasting rooms and the main parlor. Each space featured displays backed by BrightSign’s digital signage player and hosted server. The winery utilizes the signage in these spaces to enhance tastings by showing information about the wines and the winery including gorgeous fly overs of the winery shot by drones.
